Now, at least here in the Northwest, they have giant (53") moose for $34.99. I decided against it at the moment, mainly because of the lack of space, but I may cave in and go back. It's sooo cute! :)

Suggestions of where to shop....my best holiday experience this year was at Kmart of all places. I purchased my item online and go to the store just hours later and pick my item up...no waiting in line either. Just go to the layaway dept. and your prepurchased item will be waiting for you.
A great place for something totally different is Old World Village in Huntington Beach. Unique one of a kind imports that you won't see anywhere else. And if you don't find something there just cruise across the street and you have Bella Terra. Everything all in one trip! If you are really at a loss just go to the movie theater in Bella Terra and purchase a gift card so the lucky recipient can have a great move going experience!

How about the other parts? Such as the Yucatan? It is an establishment that originated in Los Alamitos Rossmoor Center but came to Seal Beach many years ago and is loved on 5th Street. I gather you stood fast on Main Street and never even knew it existed, hmmn? A hidden place behind the main PCH but can be found if you are local:)

I have had the choc with bacon and the pancake push cakes they made for the baconmania food fruck. They were awesome! I would buy 10 at a time from the truck.

1) horrible service
2) starting 2nd dish, its frozen meat so you don't know how old they are... they might be weeks old
3) if you go as just students they will give you even worse service so go with parents if you do go (or if you are adult of 40+ years old it should be fine)

after talking to the company that makes them, Costco nationwide is not due for another shipment of these bears till after the first of the year. According to HugFun the company that makes them, they should be in Costcos in March 2012

Here is a great one for students when they are running the special....try IKEA!!! If you are lucky enough to be located near one check with them to see if they are running the "Students Eat Free" special! Yes you read it right, they run the special usually for about a month and you can get any of their entrees, it's not just Swedish Meatballs!

I have been to Oktoberfest-go and have fun! Just bring a designated driver! Be ready for the Chicken Dance and to let loose of your inhibitions. Neat place to shop, especially for those things you don't see everywhere. Located just behind Bella Terra Shopping Center in HB near Golden West College. Worth the visit!

Here is another bargain for you! The Edwards/Regal Cinema on Westminster Blvd. near Golden West charges just $5 to any show on Sundays only! All first run, plenty of parking, and at $5 you may be able to afford the popcorn. Or go over to The Dollar Tree before you go to the movies and stock up on your munchies for just a buck a piece - great way to spend the day and keep it cheap!

I love Seal Beach too, it still has that small hometown beachy atmosphere! Didn't know the history though, thanks for that. It is also a great place to go Christmas shopping when you are looking for that truly unique gift for the impossible to buy for person!
